Safety Suite Software UI
A new way of monitoring safety in real time
Overview
Honeywell Safety Suite is a global industrial safety platform used in high‑risk environments where clarity, speed and accuracy directly impact worker safety. The challenge was to modernise the experience, unify fragmented tools and deliver a system that supported real‑time decision‑making for safety managers across multiple industries.
My role
As Senior Advanced Product Designer I led UX and UI design across software and hardware touchpoints, collaborating with teams in the UK, Europe, Asia and the US. My focus was on simplifying complex data, improving situational awareness and ensuring the system supported safety‑critical workflows.

Approach
1. Deep discovery
I worked closely with domain experts, engineers and end‑users to understand real‑world safety workflows, environmental constraints and cognitive load challenges.
2. Information architecture & data clarity
I restructured the IA to prioritise critical alerts, real‑time monitoring and rapid decision‑making. Data visualisations were redesigned to be clearer, more accessible and easier to interpret under pressure.
3. Prototyping & validation
Interactive prototypes were tested with safety managers and field teams to validate clarity, speed and usability in realistic scenarios.
4. Unified design language
I created a consistent visual and interaction system across desktop, tablet and device interfaces, ensuring familiarity and reducing training time.
